19th C Antique Silver Plated Japy Freres Cherubs Mantel Clock featuring a large, finely detailed gilded spread-wing bird landing on an ornate floral garland with a circular clock face decorated with roman numerals and intricate internal mechanics. The spherical upper case is supported by an ornate sculptural column consisting of three putti (cherubs) standing back-to-back on a circular platform, resting on a highly decorative, heavy Baroque-style scrolled tripod base adorned with intricate floral repousse patterns. Missing back glass, not currently functioning.
