THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A unique vintage Chinese handmade intricately cross woven Shanghai weave rattan basket or box in the form of a turtle, the rear of the turtle with a lift off top revealing the storage compartment, the cross woven top with twig elements and the carved feet of the turtle of varnished wood, the base with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label stamped 325-1201, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
