Description
Thomas Mower Martin RCA (Canadian, 1838 – 1934) watercolour of an autumn hillside, signed and dated 1925 in lower right. Thomas Mower Martin has been dubbed the father of Canadian art, and was one of the Railway School of Canadian painters who were given passes by the Canadian Pacific Railway to paint landscapes of western Canada in the late 1800s. Image measures 7 inches H x 10 W, frame measures 13.5 inches x 16.25.
