Description

After drawings by English solider-artist James Pattison Cockburn (1779-1847), England, and engraved by Charles Hunt (1803 – 1877), Clayton Bentley (1803 – 1851) and Jn Edge, a complete set of aquatint engravings of early views of the Falls of Niagara, considered the most famous prints of a 19th-century artist in Canada. This set from 1857, includes:

Provenance – a late distinguished Canadian collector.
Condition Report – overall very good condition, bright colours, fretting and shading to the edges.
