Description
After drawings by English soldier-artist James Pattison Cockburn (1779-1847), England, engraved by Charles Hunt (1803 – 1877), a pair of aquatint engravings of early views of Quebec – titled This View of Cape Diamond and Wolf’s Cove from Point a Pizeau and This View of The Falls of Montmorency (Quebec in the Distance), both also marked Is by Special Permission dedicated to His Most Excellent Majesty William the Fourth, London Pub. 1833 by Ackerann and Co. 96 Strand, circa 1st half 19th century, both unframed. Measuring 22.5 inches H x 30 W.
