Abraham Palatnik (1928- 2020) Artemis Collection Lucite Leopard Sculpture, Brazilian Op Art, 1970s

Cast acrylic (Lucite) sculpture depicting a reclining leopard with Palatnik’s signature geometric optical patterning in black and amber tones. One of a series of stylized animal forms designed by the pioneering Brazilian kinetic and Op Art artist. 
Dimensions: 9 in. W × 5 in. H × 1.25 in. D.
Condition: Minor chip to one ear; otherwise in very good overall condition with light wear consistent with age.
