Important 835 hallmarked silver cigarette case presented by Gregor Piatigorsky (famous cellist) to Karol Szreter (famous pianist). The two frequently collaborated eventually forming the famous Tri-Ergon Trio alongside violinist Max Rostal in the late 1920s. Case has push mechanism and measures 80 x 116mm. Weight: 151.9 grams. Inscribed “Meinem lieben Karol, zum Andenken an unser erstes Berliner Konzert am 7. Jan. 1928, in Freundschaft und Verehrung. Grischa Piatigorsky”
