THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A wonderful large vintage Chinese handmade intricately woven Shanghai weave rattan box in the form of an elephant, the top of the elephant with lift off lid revealing the storage compartment with painted wood lining, the lift off lid with a baby elephant handle, the tusks and feet of varnished carved wood, the underside of lid with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label stamped 329-98, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
