Antique Chinese Seated Guanyin Figure Holding Ruyi Scepter, Gilt Lacquer
Description
A seated figure of Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, holding a ruyi scepter, Qing dynasty (18th/19th century) or potentially the late Ming dynasty. It is made of gilt-lacquered wood wear to the original gilding and lacquer. Guanyin is shown in a seated posture with Ruyi Scepter. The scepter held across the lap is a symbol of power and good fortune, literally translating to as you wish.
Dimensions: 10 inches H x 4.5 W.
