The painting depicts a winter street scene in Quebec City, captured in the artist’s signature style that documents urban life and architecture. With multiple gallery labels on verso.
John Little was a celebrated Canadian painter known as the unmatched visual chronicler of urban life and Quebec winters. He often captured the atmosphere of historical neighbourhoods, alleys, and staircases before they were lost to urban redevelopment. His work is held in numerous private and public collections, including the National Gallery of Canada.
