Description
Pair of Antique George III mahogany knife boxes, likely dating to the 1790s.The boxes feature a serpentine-shaped front and a sloping, hinged lid, silver Armorial escutcheons, and intricate inlay work with flower basket motif on the lid and interior star decoration.
Dimensions: 14 inches H x 9 W x 11 deep.
Condition: Restoration to inlay, refinishing to surface, some separation, loss and shrinkage to veneer and banding.
