Description
A Gandharan Grey Schist Head of Buddha Shakyamuni, presumably from the 3rd to 7th Century CE from modern-day Pakistan and Afghanistan, and is noted for its Graeco-Buddhist style. Featuring a serene, downcast expression with almond-shaped eyes and a softly smiling mouth and hair styled in wavy locks.
Dimensions: 6.5 inches H x 4 W x 4 deep.
Condition: Some weathering of stone, as shown.
