18th C Italian Carved Giltwood Figural Console Table
Description
Italian carved giltwood console table, likely from the early 18th century and originating from Florence or Rome. Featuring a shaped or serpentine Sienna marble top. The base is made of carved wood with a gilt finish. The apron is deep and pierced, centered by a grotesque mask or elaborate cartouche. It is supported by three arched cabriole legs decorated with highly sculptural winged female mermaids or caryatid figures on carved hooves.
Dimensions: 34 inches H x 49 W x 25 deep.
