An antique Continental finely carved Bacchanalian Figural Group in the style of Gerard van Opstal depicting cupids and putti driving a miniature, goat-drawn chariot in a landscape, a cheeky reference to Bacchus (the god of wine and revelry), symbolizing untamed passion and playful mischief. Van Opstal was a Flemish sculptor active in the 17th century, known for detailed ] carvings often featuring mythological themes like bacchanals. Mounted on an old, hardwood base, apparently signed lower right. 

Dimensions: 10 inches W x 6.5 deep x 8 H.

Condition: Some loss, old repairs as shown.
