Description

A very large decorative Hopi polychrome pottery jar, likely inspired by the classic styles revived by the renowned potters of the Nampeyo family. 

Style: It features a traditional yellowware body with hand-painted geometric and stylized designs in red and black, often referred to as Sikyatki Revival style. 
Form: The jar has a squat, low-profile shape with wide shoulders and a narrow opening. 
Technique: Hand-coiled and painted using native clay and mineral pigments. 
Dimensions: 16 inches H x 20 W.
Condition: Some damage, as shown.
