Description
Vintage Murano art glass vase of rounded, flattened globular form with a wide, flared collar rim, executed in a translucent pale green opaline ground with vertically drawn blue-green swirl striations. The decoration is achieved through a controlled incamiciato (cased glass) technique, producing a soft optical depth and gentle movement across the surface.
The present example reflects the refined aesthetic associated with mid-century production by Venini, and is consistent with works attributed to Paolo Venini, whose designs emphasized clarity of form, subtle coloration, and elegant proportions.
