Antique Arts and Crafts Quarter Sawn Oak Hall Bench and Matching Wall Mirror

This Arts and Crafts style hall set is constructed from quarter-sawn oak with a dark stained finish. The set includes a storage bench and a coordinating wall mirror. The bench features a high, arched back centered with a tiger oak panel, shaped armrests, and a hinged seat that opens to a storage compartment. The rectangular wall mirror is housed in a matching oak frame and is fitted with ornate cast metal coat hooks. Both pieces display the prominent medullary rays characteristic of quarter-sawn oak. The set shows wear consistent with age and use. There are minor surface scuffs and finish abrasions, particularly on the lower legs of the bench. The mirror glass exhibits visible foxing. Bench measures 32 inches W x 16 deep x 36 H, seat height 18 inches. Accompanying mirror measures 18 inches H x 33 W x 3 deep.
