Art Deco Mantel Clock Garniture Signed Menneville, French Marble and Spelter Figural Set
Description
French Art Deco mantel clock garniture signed Menneville, comprising a central figural clock and matching pair of urn-form lamps. Executed in black marble and variegated onyx with patinated spelter sculpture, the composition features a reclining female figure in elegant Art Deco dress, her hand raised thoughtfully to her chin, holding a rose.
The clock housing displays a circular dial with Arabic numerals within a black surround, raised on a stepped marble base. The reverse reveals a mechanical movement with bell strike. The matching lamps are formed as classical urns with flared rims in complementary patinated metal, mounted on marble bases consistent with the clock.
The sculptural base is incised “MENNEVILLE, ” identifying the maker.
