A finely cast bronze figure depicting a youthful boy engaged in play, shown barefoot and dressed in a sleeveless tunic and trousers, holding a cricket bat in one hand while raising a ball aloft in the other. The figure is animated with a strong sense of movement and balance, the pose conveying youthful energy and sporting confidence. The bronze is mounted on an integrally cast naturalistic base, set atop a rectangular green marble plinth. Signed F. Iffland to the bronze base.
