Chinese Green Dragon Bowl with Six Character Mark
Description
Porcelain bowl decorated in underglaze green and blue with a striding five-clawed dragon among clouds, framed by key-fret and lappet borders. Bearing a six-character reign mark to the base, with old dealer/export label.
Porcelain bowl hand-painted in strong underglaze green with a full roundel dragon inside and a continuous dragon-and-cloud frieze to the exterior. Blue key-fret band at rim and stylized lappet border above the foot. Base with six-character mark in underglaze blue and early 20th-century dealer label. Diameter approx. 8 in.; height approx. 4 in. Likely Republic period (early-mid 20th century).
