Description
Traditional Chinese ceremonial collar featuring embossed silvered-metal plaques and multiple dangling chains with symbolic charms, including gourds, guardian beasts, and longevity motifs. A richly ornamented example used for marriage or infant protection rituals.
Silvered metal with repoussé and chased decoration; crescent collar form with engraved surface. Suspended chains holding various symbolic charms: gourds, ruyi-shaped plaques, mythic beasts, and coin-form tokens. Approx. 18 inches total diameter when extended. Early 20th-century Chinese folk ceremonial work; age-related patina and wear consistent with use.
