Description
Crimson silk liturgical embroidery with gold metallic thread and a sequence of figural medallions, likely from a 19th-century altar frontal or processional banner. Rich giltwork scrolls and woven borders; scattered wear and small restorations.
Embroidered silk band with gilt-metal couching, raised work, and polychrome figural medallions. Originally part of a larger ecclesiastical textile (altar frontal or banner border). Mounted on later backing; expected age-related losses and minor stitched repairs. Approx. 16 × 88 inches overall. 19th-century Continental.
