Description
A large early 20th-century Carlton Ware hand-painted ginger jar in the “Oriental Ware” / Chinoiserie style. The jar features finely detailed scenes with pagodas, figures in a garden landscape, blossoming shrubs, and gilt accents over a softly mottled ground. Interior glazed in turquoise.
Marked “Carlton Ware – Made in England” on the base, with an additional Belgian retailer/import label (“Cabo de Gracia – Regium”), indicating export distribution to the Belgian market.
Height: 11.5 in
Overall in good vintage condition with expected light wear.
