Description
Chinese Export silver-mounted mother-of-pearl sweetmeat or caviar dish, dating from the late Qing dynasty to the early Republic period (circa 1880–1920). consists of a large, highly polished, iridescent marine shell (usually a gold-lip or white-lip pearl oyster shell) mounted with Chinese export silver legs with delicate lily pads. Chinese silver hallmarks on foot. Measuring 4.5 inches H x 11 W.
