THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A fun vintage Chinese handmade intricately woven Shanghai weave rattan basket or box in the form of a fat sitting toad, the upper half of the toad lifting off revealing the storage compartment, the carved feet of the toad of varnished wood, the base with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label stamped 1-34, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
