Description
THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A rectangular shaped vintage Chinese handmade woven Shanghai weave rattan and bamboo box with wood rims, the top with an intricately woven praying mantis insect with various carved varnished wood elements, the body of the box with a multi tone pattern with bamboo stripes, the underside of lid with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label stamped what appears to be 325-111, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
Dimensions: 10 inches H x 8 W x 5 deep, excluding antennae.
Condition: Preying mantis missing one leg.
