THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A unique vintage Chinese handmade intricately cross woven Shanghai weave rattan basket or box in the form of a mother turtle guarding her young, the lid with a carved wood baby turtle resting on top and the edge set with a wide wood rim with geometric pattern, the feet and head and tail of the turtle of carved wood, the base with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
