Description
Antique 19th-century Mediterranean glazed terracotta storage vessel. Standing 17 inches tall, this substantial earthenware jar features a distinctive four-handle configuration, with sturdy loop handles applied symmetrically around the collared neck and high shoulder.The vessel is decorated with a vibrant yellow-ochre lead glaze, serving as the backdrop for hand-painted folk art embellishments. The upper register is adorned with stylized geometric/Moorish motifs, separated by horizontal bands and a continuous wavy line motif. Approximately 17 x 11.5 inches. Unsigned.
