Description
Japanese antique hand carved and laquered on wood Kyogen or Noh theatre mask representing Ebisu, one of the seven gods of fortune, and often portrayed as the guardian deity of the Tendai sect on Mount Hiei. With painted highlights on gesso and carved mark. Meiji period 1868 – 1912. Please see our other auctions for more Noh and Kyogen masks.
