A large romantic landscape by Ferdinand Lepie (also known as Jan Ferdinand Lepie), a 19th-century artist known for his romantic and detailed depictions of European landscapes.


Ferdinand Lepie (Czech, 1824-1883) was a Czech-born landscape painter who spent much of his career in Vienna. His work typically focuses on Topographical Views and Romantic Landscapes, often featuring Alpine and Central European scenery and prominent stone bridges, castles, or historic hamlets nestled in a valley.
