A military portrait with regimental crest associated with Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI), a famous regiment of the Canadian Army.


The Medium: Silhouette portraits were a popular method of capturing a profile before the widespread use of photography. These were often hand-cut from black paper and mounted on a light background. 
Officer Portraits: It was common for military officers to have such silhouettes made to commemorate their service or as gifts for family. 
Dimensions: Framed, measures 23.5 x 19.5 inches W.
