Leandro Izaguirre (Mexico, 1867-1941) finely rendered architectural watercolour depicting a vista de retablo (altarpiece view) an elaborate Baroque church altar interior with richly ornamented retable, sculptural figures, and gilded decorative program. The composition centers on an ecclesiastical scene in the foreground before a monumental altar structure populated by saints, cherubs, and ornamental carvings. With title and attribution on verso, unsigned.
Executed in watercolour with confident yet atmospheric brushwork, the work captures both architectural grandeur and sculptural detail.
