Antique British Porcelain Works Ironstone China Wash Basin and Pitcher Set
Description
A large antique British ironstone china wash basin and matching pitcher set, the undersides marked British Porcelain Works – Ironstone China.
The set comprises a generously proportioned bowl measuring approximately 14 inches in diameter and 4 inches deep, together with an 11-inch high ewer-form pitcher. Both pieces are finished in a creamy ivory glaze with extensive, naturally developed crazing and tonal staining consistent with age and use.
The pitcher features a tall, elegant profile with a flared spout and loop handle, while the basin presents a broad rim and deep well.
The glaze shows pronounced crackle throughout, along with areas of discoloration and surface wear from age. No major structural damage observed.
