Antique English Portrait Miniature of a Young Woman, Lady Susan Montague
Description
Oval portrait miniature depicting a young woman with flowing curled hair, soft pink complexion, and blue-green bodice adorned with a small floral accent. The sitter is shown against a muted teal background, rendered with delicate brushwork and fine facial detailing. Restoration to material, where it may have separated. Signed on interior, Lady Susan Montague.
The miniature is housed in an oval brass bezel within a Georgian black rectangular frame, surmounted by a decorative gilt acorn-and-leaf mount.
