Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Zodiac Dragon Figure, 11 Inches
Description
Chinese blue and white glazed porcelain figure modeled as a standing zodiac dragon, depicted in flowing robes and holding a cylindrical element at the front. The head is rendered with an open mouth, visible teeth, and stylized horn-like projections, characteristic of traditional dragon iconography. The body is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with scrolling motifs, florals, and symbolic ornament against a cream-toned ground.
The figure stands approximately 11 inches in height. The underside is unglazed with a central aperture and later felt pads applied for surface protection. Glaze pooling and minor kiln variations visible, consistent with production methods. Note: ear damage.
