Mid Century A.ve.m. Murano Italy 1950s Zanfirico Duck Figurine

A Murano glass duck, a mid-century Italian piece from the 1950s produced using the zanfirico (also known as filigrana a retortoli) technique, which involves stretching and twisting fine filigree canes to create the intricate, colorful lattice patterns seen along the body.  Attributed to A.ve.m. (Arte Vetreria Muranese), a prominent manufacturer on Murano island known for using zanfirico canes in their production. The body features multicolored zanfirico ribbons,   a mix of blue, green, and red filigree encased in clear glass.
