Imperial Russian Silver and Niello Ceremonial Belt C 1890s
Description
An exceptional antique late 19th-century articulated silver belt originating from the Caucasus region. The belt is composed of hand-forged, hinged panels heavily decorated with intricate floral and scrollwork designs utilizing the traditional black niello inlay technique. Features the classic circular domed medallion buckle closure. Full Imperial hallmarks stamped on the piece including the 84 Zolotnik purity mark and Cyrillic maker’s mark (ZD).
