A mid-century Italian hand-painted ceramic cachepot planter by Italica ARS (Tuscany). Features an ornate rust-red rooster and foliage motif with gilded trim and scrolled handles. Base marked underglaze: 661 ITALY ARS. Measuring 4 inches H x 5 W. Some loss to gilding, stains to interior as shown.
