Cast Iron Crucifixion Devotional Plaque
Rectangular cast iron devotional plaque in relief depicting the Crucifixion with Christ on the Cross flanked by the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Evangelist. The composition is dated 1823 and reflects the simple yet expressive folk craftsmanship characteristic of early 19th-century religious castings produced for domestic and architectural devotional use throughout France and Belgium.
Dimensions: 20.5 × 16 cm.
Overall good antique condition with weathered surface, oxidation, remnants of original red paint, and wear consistent with age and outdoor exposure.
