Description

Nepalese Bhairav mask made of plaster and papier-mache, hand-painted in red, blue, and gold paint, and features prominent teeth and a fierce expression. This mask represents Bhairava, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva, and is often used in Nepalese and Tibetan rituals or hung as a protective wall decoration. Measuring 12 inches H x 12 W, some loss to plaster along bottom of mask.
