Description

World War II-period Japanese Imperial Army Officer’s Shin-Gunto sword. The curved steel blade features a traditional hand-wrapped cord handle over ray skin, fitted with standard brass military tsuba (handguard) and matching metal accents. Includes its matching military-issue scabbard equipped with a single suspension mount for field use, an attached lanyard tassel. Sword measures 39.5 inches L, blade measures 27.5 inches L, cutting edge measures 26 inches L.
