Description

Elegant finely crafted chest protector, for samurai of high rank, Edo period. These were used out of battlefield, for daily protection, while projecting social status symbol. The silk and cotton fabrics hide small hexagonal iron pieces that protects from stabbing. Garment measures 17 inches W x 19 H, stand measures 7 W x 21 inches H. Some staining, discolouration and small holes to fabric lining.
