Japanese Arita ware (Arita-yaki) porcelain vase featuring a traditional hand-painted scene in underglaze cobalt blue (Sometsuke) depicting a bird perched upon a gnarled plum blossom (Ume) branch, on a faceted ovoid form that tapers to a narrow foot ring, crowned by a short neck. 10.5 inches H x 9 W.
