A 1950s Scandinavian modernist art glass vase was designed by master glassmaker Sven Palmqvist for the Swedish glassworks Orrefors. It showcases the iconic Kraka technique, featuring an intricate, internal yellow-green wire mesh grid embedded with a uniform pattern of tiny air bubbles. The teardrop form boasts a color transition that shifts smoothly from a deep sapphire blue rim down to a warm amber core, all encased in a thick, heavy clear crystal body.The polished base is signed and numbered: Orrefors Kraka Sven Palmqvist.
