THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A Chinese antique large satin three part document case, the outside in deep crimson red satin with embroidered script in blue on all thee parts, the inside with a green satin lining and showing richly embroidered in silk on black, pale blue and orange satin, with stylized floral designs showing a cranes and a horse with gold elements and script, the two outer parts with half pockets and support bands, these document cases were used to store import papers and vertically folded into three, circa late Qing dynasty late 19th – early 20th century. Folded, measuring 11 inches L x 5.5 W.
