THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A beautifully crafted large Chinese vintage Shanghai weave rattan, bamboo and wicker sculpture box of a an eagle about to take flight, the wings tilting back to reveal a wood lined inner box, the body and wings of intricately set cut bamboo with woven rattan, with carved varnished wood elements and set on a base with arrayed wicker sprouts, the base with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label 325-1620, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
Dimensions: 19 inches H x 23 L x 41 wide wingspan.
Condition: Repair to beak, screws are loose at wing joints.
