THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A beautifully crafted large Chinese vintage Shanghai weave rattan sculpture box of a a pelican having caught a fish, the wings tilting back to reveal a wood lined inner storage compartment, the body and wings of intricately woven rattan, with carved varnished wood elements and set on a carved wood base, the base with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label 325-957, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
Dimensions: 18 inches H x 16 W.
Condition: Beak is loose, fish has some damage.
