Description
A fine antique 19th-century alabaster carved sculpture of a young girl reading, Italian School, signed Juyi (Late 19th / Early 20th Century) After the workshop of Professor Juyi, Florence. It depicts a child seated on a log-shaped bench, with the book inscribed with AB DAD. Signed on reverse, Juyi, a documented trade name or signature variant used by a prominent Florentine workshop in Italy during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
