Vintage Chinese Carved Hardstone or Jade and Wood Inset Picture Frame, Eaton’s Provenance
Description
A vintage Chinese picture frame featuring an intricate, open-work carved whitish hardstone or jade panel. The jade is pierced with a continuous lotus flower and vine motif, symbolizing purity and longevity. This decorative panel is set within a simple, arched hardwood frame. The reverse features partial remnants of a vintage Eaton’s department store sticker. Measurements: 13.5 x 11 inches, Image Opening: approx 8 x 10 inches. Minor breaks to reticulated hardstone.
