Description
Crafted using traditional snowshoe-making techniques, featuring a steam-bent ash wood frame laced with heavy-duty rawhide or sinew webbing, marked on back with logo and painted across seat, CHESTNUT.
The Chestnut Canoe Company (originally based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada) was one of the world’s premier manufacturers of wood-and-canvas canoes from 1897 until its closure in 1979.
Dimensions: Folded, measures 26 inches x 18 x 10.
Condition: Crack to bent backrest, as shown.
